Esther loved Donald Pippin's "Pocket Operas".

Esther was an early supporter of Donald Pippin's "Pocket Opera". Whenever her research responsibilities permitted, Esther pursued her interests in "Early Music", but also enjoyed the interesting and original performances of Donald Pippin's at the North Beach cabarets, at such places as the Old Spaghetti Factory". Operas such "cosi Fan Tutti", "The Coffee Cantata"
